In order to understand the nature of nuclei exhibiting a variety of structure, and to lead to the frontier studies aiming at answering great questions in the field bridging nuclei, elementary particles and the Universe, basic properties of nuclei and basic principles of experiments are necessary to be learned.
Nuclear properties, such as shell structure and collectivity, and experimental methods are discussed, by focusing on the nuclear spectroscopy using nuclear spins. The frontier studies at the accelerator facilities with intense RI beams as well as the table-top experiments arising from ingenious idea and techniques are also introduced.

多体系である原子核が見せる多様な性質を統一的な視点から俯瞰し、原子核・素粒子・宇宙にまたがる数々の謎の解明を目指す最先端研究につなげるために、原子核の基本的性質および原子核物理における実験手法の原理を理解する。
In order to understand the nature of nuclei exhibiting a variety of structure, and to lead to the frontier studies aiming at answering great questions in the field bridging nuclei, elementary particles and the Universe, basic properties of nuclei and basic principles of experiments are necessary to be learned.
原子核の多様性を生み出す殻構造と集団性、そしてこれらの性質を実験的に見出すための手法、特に核スピンを用いた核分光法について学ぶ。最先端の加速器施設における実験、および独創的な技術を用いたテーブルトップ実験に関しても紹介する。
