This course is designed to provide specialized knowledge of the physical properties of molecular materials. Additionally, students can make a presentation related to their own research on the basis of the knowledge of this course.
Electrons play an important role in determining the properties of materials. In this course, the basic knowledge that necessary to understand modern science and technology will provide to students on the basis of electronic properties.

分子性化合物の磁性や伝導性などの電子物性について、学問的に扱われる範囲やその原理、応用的な広がりについて理解し、説明できる力を身に付ける。その上で、大学院で進めている自身の研究との関連に絡めたプレゼンテーションを行うことができる。
This course is designed to provide specialized knowledge of the physical properties of molecular materials. Additionally, students can make a presentation related to their own research on the basis of the knowledge of this course.
「電子」は物質の性質を決定する重要な役割を担うが、近年、電子が働く舞台を構築するために、分子集合体を基本とする物質開発が行われている。そこでは自発的な分子整列が行われ、天然には存在しない機能を持つ物質開発の原動力ともなっている。本講義では、そのような複合物性の背景にある量子力学に基づき現象を理解しつつ、構成要素が分子ならではの性質を示す物質群を概観することで、電子物性に基づいた現代科学や科学技術を理解するための基本的な知識を身につけることを目標とする。
最初の数回を使って、基礎的な電子物性の内容を復習する。
続いて物性科学の基礎として、自由電子モデルから始めて、格子振動を取り入れることによる物性の理解、格子と電子の相互作用について、定量的に理解する。このような背景の元、特に伝導性、磁性の発現機構について理解しする。
また、特に磁性を探求する上でよく用いられる測定法とその原理、適用例について学ぶ。
最後に、特に分子磁性体に焦点を当て、磁性を理解する上で重要な測定法を概観すると共に、特異なスピン系を有する物質群の理解を進める。
Electrons play an important role in determining the properties of materials. In this course, the basic knowledge that necessary to understand modern science and technology will provide to students on the basis of electronic properties.
