【Course Objectives】

Students will review and understand the latest studies as well as classical ones of the industrial and labor sociology.

【Course Contents】

Studies of the industrial and labor sociology have dealt with many topics, for example, motivation to work, autonomy and control at work, internal labor market system, industrial relations, emotional labor, irregular types of employment, performance-based pay system, flexible work system, overwork problem and work-life balance, gender inequality at work, foreign workers problem, social movement unionism and so on. Students will read and discuss studies which examines some of above-mentioned topics.
