【Course Objectives】

1. To learn the basic ideas and the development of ethnomethodological research.
2. To learn the main analytical concepts of conversation analysis research based on the literature, and analyze one's data using the analytic tools as exercises.
3. To master how to look at data from conversation analytic perspectives.

【Course Contents】

In this course, you will learn the basic ideas and development of the research policy called "ethnomethodology," which emerged from sociology by examining the major literature on conversation analysis. At the same time, students will be intensively trained to identify phenomena using analytical concepts in their data. Each class will have a reading assignment and/or data analysis assignment.
