In this class, the instructor treat a basic theory which is needed when advancing sociology-of-music research. Students will be expected to understand the circumstances where sociology-of-music was established, and study its up-to-date problems.
Students will read important documents every week. Documents are written in Japanese basically. Students are required to have sufficient reading skills of Japanese.

音楽社会学研究を進める上で必要となる基礎的な理論を修得するとともに、音楽社会学の成立経緯やその現代的な問題点などを理解する。
In this class, the instructor treat a basic theory which is needed when advancing sociology-of-music research. Students will be expected to understand the circumstances where sociology-of-music was established, and study its up-to-date problems.
音楽社会学の広がりと具体的な研究手法を、既存の文献の読解を通じて学ぶ。文献には基本的に日本語のものを用いるが、毎回多くの文章を読むため、受講者には十分な日本語の読解力が求められる。
