We will examine fundamental research on Asianism and organize the accumulation of previous research. The goal is to help participants consider how to position their own research in relation to previous research while experiencing how to read and evaluate past research.
This class will cover one major prior work on Asianism each session, which will be assigned in advance. Each presenter will summarize and critique its contents and consider its position in the research of Asianism. Participants other than the presenter are to read the assigned text at least one day before the class and write at least two comments in the "Discussion" section of Canvas LMS to prepare for each session's discussion. Presenters are to prepare an outline and a handout with collating comments from other participants before the class on the day of the presentation.

アジア主義に関する基礎的な研究を検討し、先行研究の蓄積を整理する。過去の研究をどう読みどう評価するかを経験する中で、参加者各自が自分の研究を先行研究との関係でどう位置付けるかを考える際の助けになることを目指す。

この授業では、予め指定されたアジア主義に関する主要な先行業績を毎回一つずつ取り上げ議論する。報告者がその内容を要約すると共に批評し、アジア主義研究の中での位置付けを検討する。報告者以外の参加者は授業の前日までにそのテキストを読み、Canvas LMSの「ディスカッション」にコメントを二点以上書き込み、当日の議論の準備とする。報告者は当日の授業までに、レジメと、他の参加者からのコメントを印刷した配布物を用意し、当日の報告に臨む。

上述したように、報告者はテキストの要約。レビューを行い、それ以外の参加者は事前にテキストを読み、コメントをCanvasに書き込む。その際、テキスト以外の関連の文献などを参照することも奨励される。また、アジア主義というテーマだけなく、自分のテーマとの関連で、様々な角度からの議論を提示するよう準備することも期待される。
