【Course Objectives】

To understand historical and today's inernational issues, including relevant theories. 

【Course Contents】

To examine the recent discourse that the so-called Liberal International Order (LIO) is under challenge by Russian invasion to Ukraine, spread of "authoritarian" states and populism, especially after the economic crisis of 2008. In order to analyze the real problems, the students will read important litrature related of the Internatonal Relations (IR) theory and others. To reflect upon the U.S., Chinese, Russian and (pre-WWII) Japanese attitudes toward the international order.
