Intended for those individuals who have already mastered the first half of fundamental sentence structure, and fundamental vocabulary (about 1,000 words). The goal of J3 course is to introduce relatively complicated beginner level sentence patterns, to improve the students’ ability to put already learned sentence patterns into practical use, and to increase vocabulary to 1,000 words. And the goal of Grammar class is to understand complex elementary sentence forms including conditional and subjunctive moods, passive voice and causative expressions, as well as be able to use them in everyday life.
The course is centered on a textbook and a vocabulary list. Students will practice using practiced sentence forms and vocabulary in everyday life situations. Students must do vocabulary and grammar preparation before class.

日本語(にほんご)の基礎(きそ)(動詞(どうし)・形容詞(けいようし)の活用(かつよう)など)を習得(しゅうとく)している者(もの)（1,000語(ご)程度(ていど)の語彙(ごい),初級(しょきゅう)前半(ぜんはん)の文法(ぶんぽう)等(とう)）,日常(にちじょう)生活(せいかつ)の基本的(きほんてき)活動(かつどう)（買(か)い物(もの)や依頼(いらい)など）が日本語(にほんご)でできる者(もの))を対象(たいしょう)とする。Ｊ３コース全体(ぜんたい)の目標(もくひょう)は,より複雑(ふくざつ)な初級(しょきゅう)文型(ぶんけい)の導入(どうにゅう)および既習(きしゅう)の文型(ぶんけい)の運用(うんよう)能力(のうりょく)向上(こうじょう)を目指(めざ)すことである。その中(なか)で,文法(ぶんぽう)クラスの目標(もくひょう)は,条件(じょうけん)や仮定(かてい)の表現(ひょうげん),受身(うけみ)や使役(しえき)などを含(ふく)むやや複雑(ふくざつ)な初級(しょきゅう)文型(ぶんけい)などを理解(りかい)し,それらを日常(にちじょう)生活(せいかつ)の中(なか)で使(つか)えるようになることである。

テキストと語彙(ごい)リストを軸(じく)として,習(なら)った文型(ぶんけい)や語彙(ごい)を日常(にちじょう)生活(せいかつ)の場面(ばめん)で使(つか)う練習(れんしゅう)を行(おこな)う。学生(がくせい)は授業前(じゅぎょうまえ)に必(かなら)ず語彙(ごい)や文法(ぶんぽう)の予習(よしゅう)をしなければならない。
