【Course Objectives】

The goal of this course is to understand basic principles, characteristics, and applications of bioanalytical methods.

【Course Contents】

Analytical chemical methods are indispensable for investigating the structure, function, and properties of biological materials, and for identifying and quantifying the desired substances in samples. The aim of this course is to help students acquire basic principles, features, and applications of analytical methods for various biological materials.
To begin with, analysis methods of biological materials such as DNA, protein and cell are explained. Next, the latest analysis platform such as microarray and microfluidic device is outlined. Additionally, the students will read in turn recent scientific papers with regard to analysis methods of biological materials, and discuss with their class members.
