To clarify and understand the overview of the theoretical history of cultural anthropology from the 1860s to the 2000s.
Born in Europe and the United States in the late 19th century, anthropology has undergone several paradigm-shifts. In this lecture, the historical trajectory of the paradigm-shifts divided into four periods; the first period from the 1860s / 70s to the 1920s / 30s, the heyday of the evolutionism and the natural history, the second period from the 1920s / 30s to the 1970s / 80s, which sought the organic integration based on community fieldworks. the se1920 / which sought organic integration within the community based on fieldwork. The third period of the 1980s / 90s, which criticized the politics of ethnographic writing and focused on fluidity and generation rather than cultural integrity. The fourth period since the 1990s, trying to overcome criticism of writing culture shock and present a new anthropological perspective. In this lecture, we will discuss the ideological background of the historical development of these four periods. In addition, it also explores the historical location of cultural anthropology today. (The plan will be changed depending on the course progression.)

1860年代から2000年代までに至る文化人類学の理論史を概観し、人類学理論のパラダイム転換の裏にある思想・視点を明らかにする。
前期課程よりも高度な知識・スキルを身に着けることを目標とする。
To clarify and understand the overview of the theoretical history of cultural anthropology from the 1860s to the 2000s.
19世紀後半にヨーロッパ・アメリカで生まれた人類学は、他者を理解することをめぐって数々のパラダイム転換を遂げた。そのパラダイム転換の歴史的軌跡は、進歩史観と博物学的研究を中心とした1860／70年代から1920／30年代までの第１期、フィールドワークに基づきコミュニティ内部の有機的統合を模索した1920／30年代から1970／80年までの第２期、民族誌記述の政治性を批判し、文化的統合性よりも流動性と生成を焦点化した1980／90年代の第３期、さらに民族誌批判を乗り越えて新たな人類学的視点を提示しようとする1990年代以降の第4期に大きく分けることができる。本講義では、この４期の歴史展開における思想的背景をあぶりだし、今日の文化人類学の歴史的位置づけを明らかにする。（授業計画は、授業の進捗に応じて変更することがあります）
