In this course, students will be able to:
1) develop un understanding of the theories and concepts of cultural anthropology.
2) be able to apply an anthropological approach to their own research on tourism.
In this class, students will study anthropological theories and concepts by reading texts on cultural anthropology and attempt to apply it to their tourism research. Students will prepare a resume of the contents of their assigned chapters of the selected texts, presenting the contents, arguments, issues, and questions. Students will then apply the concepts and ideas presented in the texts to their own case studies and present insights and arguments. The textbooks listed in the reference list will be used but it can be changed after consultation with students.

この授業の到達目標は、次のとおりである。
1）文化人類学で用いられる理論と概念についての理解を深めること。
2）人類学的なアプローチを自身の観光研究に応用することができるようになること。

この授業では、文化人類学のテキストを購読し人類学の理論と概念を学び、観光研究への応用を試みる。受講者は基本文献の担当章の内容をレジュメにまとめて、内容・論点・課題や疑問を提示する。そのうえで、基本文献で提示された概念や考え方を、自身が論文で用いる事例に応用して考察や論点を提示する。基本文献の候補は、参考文献にあげたものを予定しているが、受講者と相談のうえ変更することもある。
In this class, students will study anthropological theories and concepts by reading texts on cultural anthropology and attempt to apply it to their tourism research.
