【Course Objectives】

For practitioners working in the field psychological support and therapy, dealing with children is not rare. For children, in comparison to adult clients, the therapist must interpret and employ more visually-oriented types of expression to compensate for the less mature language of children. Therefore, students will not only learn the basic knowledge required to conduct “play therapy,” but will also master approaches to visually-oriented types of communication.

【Course Contents】

In addition to basic knowledge of play therapy such as its history, an overview of the method, and the posture that the therapist must assume, lectures will also relate the know-how that a certified public psychologist or a clinical psychologist needs to care for children. Since children mature a bit each day, support must be provided from a dynamic, cognitive development perspective.
