There are number of social issues in modern Japan, such as a declining birthrate and aging population. In particular, the problems that socially vulnerable people have been facing are becoming more serious and diversified. In this module, our aims are to face this social reality, explore the root of the problems, and think together about what we can do for them.
In the lectures, we would like to introduce some examples of the issues in the modern society, and place importance on thinking about them together. Group discussions will be held to provide an opportunity to reconsider the current state of social welfare from a broader perspective, and the contents of the discussions will be shared through presentations to the whole class.

少子高齢化をはじめ、現代の日本には社会的課題が山積している。特に社会的弱者と呼ばれる人たちの問題は深刻化し、多様化している。そうした社会の現実に向き合い、問題の本質はどこにあるのかということを探求すること、自分たちに何ができるのかということについてともに考えることを目標としている。

授業においては、現代社会において課題となっている事象について紹介し、ともに考えることを大切にしたいと考えている。より広い視野に立って、社会福祉の現状を見つめ直す機会となるようにグループでのディスカッションを行い、全体に発表することを通して共有をはかる。
