The purpose of this course is to acquire the standard knowledge of statistics. As this course includes elementary contents, I recommend that students who already have sufficient knowledge take higher-level courses.
In this course, we learn probabilities, data organization, probability distributions, statistical estimations and testing. Students will confirm and understand the meanings of statistical terms commonly found in various documents, such as normal distributions, statistical inferences, and hypothesis testing.

本講義の目的は、統計学の基礎知識を習得することである。統計学の実用的な利用方法はより上位の科目に任せ、本講義の内容は基本的なものに限定することとする。既に十分な知識がある者は上位科目を履修することを勧める。

本講義では、確率、データの整理、確率の分布、推定と検定を学ぶ。正規分布、統計的推測、仮説検定など、各種の資料でよく目にする用語について、改めてその意味を確認し、理解する。
