The purpose of this course (organizational strategy) is to study the effectiveness and limitations of organizations in business from the perspective of strategic theory. Students will learn first the basic theories of organization and business strategy, and then they will then study specific cases and learn how to use the theories through group discussions and mini-debates. Through the complementary study of theory and cases, students will acquire organizational management skills. Hopefully students will find studying the theory of organizational strategy quite interesting.
This lecture focuses on the most important issue of contemporary strategy theory: organizational innovation. The development of ICT has revolutionized the business ecosystem and brought "disruptive innovation" to the business market. The consequences are twofold. One was the weakness of dominant large firms against entrepreneurial firms, as Christensen's innovation dilemma theory pointed out. The other is a current development in which the large firms are learning to adapt properly to so called creative destruction.In this lecture (I), we will study the business strategy and organizational capability of entrepreneurial firms, including Christensen, purpose Management and visionary Leadership.

この組織戦略論の講義の目的は、ビジネスにおける組織の有効性と限界を戦略論の視点から学ぶことである。受講生は組織と経営戦略の基礎理論を学ぶ。そして具体的なケースを学び、理論の使い方をグループディスカッションとミニディベートによって身につける。理論とケースを補完的に学習することで、受講生は組織マネジメントのスキルを身につける。組織戦略論を学ぶことの楽しさも受講生には知ってほしい。

この講義の焦点は、現代戦略論の最重要課題である組織イノベーションである。ICTの発達は、ビジネスエコシステムを刷新し、市場に「破壊的イノベーション」をもたらした。その結果は2つの側面がある。ひとつは、クリステンセンのイノベーションのジレンマ論が指摘したように、起業家企業に対する支配的大企業の弱さであった。他のひとつは、大企業側も創造的破壊への対応力を学びつつある新しい側面である。
本講義（Ⅰ）では、起業家企業の戦略と組織ケイパビリティを学ぶ。クリステンセン、パーパス経営やビジョナリー・リーダーシップ等である。デザイン思考や両利き経営など、大企業の最近の対応戦略・組織については本講義（Ⅱ）で学ぶ。

| 3 | 基礎理論「ドラッカーの組織イノベーション論」 組織論の基礎概念、CSRの視点、イノベーションについて、ドラッカーの果たした貢献と限界について講義する。とくにGMの経営者スローンの経営論との対比から、現代のCSRあるいはパーパス経営の組織論を講義する。 |
| 4 | ケース「リーダーシップとマネジメント」 経営学の分野では組織運営における「マネジメント」過剰を指摘する文献は多い。ハーバード大学のコッターはそれを「リーダーシップ」機能の不足として理論化した。ドラッカーからビジョナリー・カンパニー、最近のパーパス経営に至るビジョナリー・リーダーシップの理論を具体的なケースでグループディスカッションする。 |
| 5 | 基礎理論「クリステンセンのイノベーション論」 既存大企業が破壊的イノベーションに直面したときに陥る「イノベーションのジレンマ」とはなにか。なぜスタートアップの起業家精神をもった組織文化のほうが、資金も技術もまさっている官僚制企業よりも「破壊的イノベーション」に強いのか、についてイノベーション研究の背景から検討し講義する。 |
| 6 | ケース「探索と深化」 イノベーション理論のキーワード「探索」と「深化」について講義し、グループワークをする。 |
| 7 | 基礎理論「クリステンセンのイノベーション論・続」 クリステンセンのイノベーション論の骨格は、「RPV（経営資源、業務プロセス、組織の価値観）」理論にある。この理論から、「イノベーションのジレンマ」をさらに深掘りする。 |
| 8 | ケース「クリステンセンのジョブ理論」 具体的な企業をとりあげて、クリステンセンのジョブ理論を講義し、グループディスカッションを行う。 |
| 9 | 基礎理論「創発戦略と組織文化」 ミンツバーグの「創発戦略」を講義する。この授業では、創発戦略が官僚制企業のプランニング制とポーター戦略論に対する組織論的な反論になっていることを明らかにする。単なるGM批判やホンダエフェクトの主張としてではない「創発」の意義を講義する。 |
| 10 | ケース「ホンダの創発戦略」 組織戦略論の視点から有名な「創発戦略」を検討したあとで、グループワークを中心に事例を議論することで「創発戦略」の理解を進める。 |
| 11 | 基礎理論「パーパス経営と組織文化」 経営の本質はビジョンである。「起業家精神」でも「ビジョナリー・カンパニー」でも、あるいは「創発」の組織文化でも、そこにあるのは明確な経営理念である。今日またこのことが再評価されている。それがパーパス経営である。 |
| 12 | グループディスカッション「イノベーションのジレンマの解決法」第１回 これまでの講義とグループワークをさらに理解を深めるために、グループごとに解決法を提案してもらう。破壊的な新製品・新サービス・新技術に対して、貴社はどのように対応し、競争力を維持するか、その解決法をグループごとに議論し、提案する。 |
| 13 | グループディスカッション「イノベーションのジレンマの解決法」第２回 １週間の時間的余裕のあと、各グループは提案をクラス全体に発表し、株主総会の場で様々な批判的質問やコメントに対応する。そのあとで各提案を仕上げて、最終レポートとして提出する。 |
