【Course Objectives】

In recent years, “Design” has extended its role from creating shapes and colors suited for user preference to “Design Thinking”, a method gaining significant attention, which is to explore the business opportunities from the user’s unmet needs.
This course introduces the Hitachi Design -the social innovation design team’s business journey and cases in context to utilize the knowledge in your business practices.

【Course Contents】

The user’s expectation in the service and product is shifting from its functional value to customer experience. To meet the expectation, holistic knowledge of design practices such as CMF (Color/Material/Finish), user research, experience design, and business modeling is essential. This course provides the focuses and methodology through lectures and in-person trainings by assigned lectors and guest speakers.
