The main objective of the course is for the students to be able to draw a social design that leaves no one behind by acquiring knowledge about 'Sustainable Development' and the capacity to apply it from an analytical perspective.
This course content includes the issues and challenges stipulated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with special reference to the gender and development perspective in the Asian and African regions.
This course will be divided into two parts: 1) studying case studies from international cooperation projects; and 2) conducting field research and drawing gender-responsive social designs.

持続可能な開発の概念を分析視角として用いて開発課題を捉える力を身に着けることにより、誰一人取り残さない社会デザインを描くことを目標とする。
The main objective of the course is for the students to be able to draw a social design that leaves no one behind by acquiring knowledge about 'Sustainable Development' and the capacity to apply it from an analytical perspective.
本授業では、持続可能な開発という視点を用いて、特にジェンダーと多様性を重視して、アジアとアフリアにおける開発課題を捉えなおし、課題の解決方法（社会デザイン）を検討します。
授業は2部構成です。前半は、国際協力の事例紹介、後半は、参加者自身による調査分析が中心になります。
参加者の状況により、シラバスの内容は一部変更する場合があります。

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
