In recent years, multiple organizations with different foundations have come to find a common direction in pursuing both "social" and "business" missions (dual missions), such as the rise of social businesses, CSR strategies of for-profit companies, and commercialization of nonprofit organizations.
In this course, we define the business model of dual mission pursuit as "ethical business", and will examine the related concepts, development process, management practices and issues.
The course is designed for students to study and deepen understanding of the concept, who are in pursuit of business organization studies, social business/CSR/CSV/stakeholder studies, and entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship studies.
The class will be conducted bi-dimentionally, highlighting theoretical and practical approaches of ethical business models.
By combining lectures, case studies, interviews to entrepreneurs, and discussions with students, we will together explore the world of ethical business.
Presentations by guest speakers may be conducted as appropriate, to highlight the current state of ethical business.

近年、ソーシャル・ビジネスの台頭、営利企業のCSR戦略化、非営利組織の事業化、というように、異なる基盤を持つ多くの組織が「社会性」と「事業性」の両ミッション（デュアル・ミッション）追求という共通の方向性を見い出すようになってきています。また一般企業においてもSDGｓやパーパス経営への関心が高まっています。
本講義ではデュアル・ミッション追求の事業モデルを「エシカル・ビジネス」と定義し、その関連する諸概念であるソーシャル・ビジネス、ソーシャル・エンタープライズ、CSR、CSV、ステークホルダー論等の内容や発展過程をわかりやすく解説した上で、経営の実際、課題を検討して行きます。
事業組織研究を目する学生、ソーシャル・ビジネス／CSR／CSV／SDGｓ／ステークホルダー論研究を目する学生、起業や社内起業を目する学生の皆さんとともに、本概念の考察と深耕を目標とします。

適宜ゲスト・スピーカーによる講演を織り込み、エシカル・ビジネスの現状を浮き彫りにします。
