After completing this course, students should be able to:
-explain the concepts and terminology associated with complex network science
-understand and apply general complex network science methods for data analysis
-choose the appropriate data analysis method for particular phenomena and data
-understand the limitations of data analysis due to assumptions embedded in the method, finite resolution of the data, sampling bias of the data, etc.
This course provides students with the fundamentals of data science, particularly complex network science techniques. Students will learn the concepts, techniques, and tools needed to analyze various types of real-world data.

複雑ネットワーク科学の用語や概念を理解すること、複雑ネットワーク科学のデータ分析手法を修得すること、現象やデータに応じて適切な分析手法を選択できるようになること、分析手法の仮定やデータの解像度・サンプルバイアスなどに起因したデータ分析の限界を理解することを目標とする。

複雑ネットワーク科学に関連したデータサイエンスの基礎的手法を解説する。様々な実データを分析する際に必要となる概念や分析手法を学ぶ。
This course provides students with the fundamentals of data science, particularly complex network science techniques. Students will learn the concepts, techniques, and tools needed to analyze various types of real-world data.
