Students will learn a process and basic rules of conducting a research project and writing a master's thesis.
In this course, students will learn what it means to do a research and an overview of the master’s thesis writing process. The following issues will be addressed: making research questions, doing a literature review, choosing an appropriate theoretical framework and research method, collecting and analyzing data, writing up a thesis, and presenting a research paper.

研究を行う方法と修士論文を執筆するプロセス、そして論文のルールや形式を学ぶことを目標とする。
Students will learn a process and basic rules of conducting a research project and writing a master's thesis.
この授業では、まず研究とは何かについて考え、研究課題の設定、適切な理論・概念的枠組みの設定、先行研究文献調査の方法、文献の読み方、研究方法の設定、データ収集・分析の方法、研究発表の仕方など修士論文執筆の具体的なプロセスと方法およびルールや形式について学び、それを各自の研究で活用できるようにしていく。
In this course, students will learn what it means to do a research and an overview of the master’s thesis writing process.
