【Course Objectives】

Students will learn and discuss what philosophical monism and dualism mean and what they imply for our understanding of the world and ourselves, and consider the plausibility of some monist approaches to personal identity.

【Course Contents】

In this class, after reading articles by monist and dualist thinkers and discussing what monism and dualism mean and imply respectively, we will read some works on the monist approach to personal identity and discuss and consider its plausibility.
