As a result of successfully completing this course, students should be able to:
1. understand the basic approaches in language teaching,
2. comprehend the key elements of language assessment,
3. perform teaching and language assessment appropriate for the target group of learners,
4. identify issues in language teaching and assessment and provide solutions.
In this practical course, students will learn basic d language teaching approaches such as task-based language teaching and genre-based pedagogy.
Students will also learn important issues in d language assessment, namely, beneficial consequences, validity, reliability and practicality.
Finally , they will be able to perform teaching and assessment using the approaches and knowledge they learn in the course.
