産業・組織心理学に密接に関わる下記のテキストを用いて、pre-suasionについて考察を深め、以て各自の研究への応用を図る。さらに、研究に対する批判力と、研究を大局的な視点から評価する力を養う。また、研究についてのディスカッションやプレゼンテーションのしかたを身につける。同時に、研究に対する批判力と、研究を大局的な視点から評価する力を養う。加えて、他の履修者や教員とのディスカッションの中で論点の整理を行う、議論を掘り下げるなど、議論を充実させる役割を担えるようにする。これらによって、研究者および将来の教育者として必要な能力を身につけることも目標とする。

Robert Cialdini教授による古典的名著とされる“Influence”が上梓されてから、30年以上が経ている。それは如何に人を動かすかの原理、原則を解説したものである。彼が他人を動かすための前準備のテクニックについて解説したものが、この“Pre-suasion”である。Pre-suasionとは、pre(前)とsuasion(勧告・説得)を合わせたCialdini教授による造語である。本書を輪読する。その際、担当者は、各章（節）を担当して解説する。さらにその章で紹介されている研究の中で、担当者が最も興味深かったと思う研究論文についても調べ、併せてその概要を紹介する。その後受講生の間で議論をして理解を深めるとともに、各人の研究テーマとの関連性を考究していく。
