Students will gain a systematic understanding ranging from the basic concept of geography to its specific applications. The class aims to have students systematically and comprehensively learn about spacial emphasis of tourism.
Students will learn knowledge ranging from the basics of geography to the collection, preparation, and use of geographic information in both Japan and abroad, and acquire skills to create maps. Students will experience the structure and operation procedures of GIS (Geographic Information System), which was introduced by modern geography and has received attention in many research areas in recent years, and will apply their experiences to their own learnings.

地理学の基本概念から具体的応用例まで系統的に理解する。観光の空間的重要性を体系的，包括的方法で学習することを目的とする。

地理学の基礎から，国内外における地理情報の整備と利用について学び，地図の作成技法を身に付ける。近年地理学から始まり，数多くの研究分野で注目を集めているGIS（地理情報システム）の仕組みと操作方法を体験し，各自の学習に応用させていく。
