Students will acquire basic knowledge and perspectives on education and develop the ability to formulate their own questions about education and think critically about them.
Students will develop the ability to examine education from multiple perspectives, including human rights and educational welfare, and to consider issues such as educational inequality, schooling, and education policy.
Students will develop the ability to explore their own questions and communicate the results of their inquiry to others.
Beginning with the question “What is education?”, this course explores fundamental themes including children, schools, human rights, educational inequality, educational welfare, diversity and inclusion, and education policy. Japanese education is examined primarily, with Korean educational reforms considered as case studies.
Students will read materials and data, formulate questions, and develop their own ideas. Generative AI may also be used to examine information and deepen their thinking.

| 基本的に講義を中心とし、資料・映像・統計・政策資料等を用いて教育現象を多面的に検討する。授業内では短時間の個人活動や意見交換を取り入れ、毎回の授業の最後にリアクションペーパーを作成する。リアクションペーパーでは、授業で扱った問いについて考察するとともに、必要に応じて生成AIを活用し、その情報を資料等と照合・検証する活動を行う。 |
予習：事前に指定のテキスト及び配布した資料を読んでおくこと。また、それに関連する事柄についてインターネットや書籍等から調べ、自分なりの意見をもって講義に臨むこと。
復習：授業中に配布した資料やレジュメをよく読みながら、事前に考えていた自分の意見を発展させること。

教育に関する基本的な知識や考え方を学び、教育について自ら問い、考える力を身につける。教育を、人権や教育福祉などの視点から多面的に捉え、教育格差、学校、教育政策などの課題について考察する力を身につける。自ら問いを探求し、その結果を他者に伝える力を身につける。

「教育とは何か」という問いを出発点に、子ども、人間、学校、教育を受ける権利、教育格差、教育福祉、多様性と包摂、教育政策など、教育をめぐる基本的なテーマについて学ぶ。人権や教育福祉などの視点から教育を捉え、日本の教育を中心に、韓国の教育改革も事例として取り上げる。
また、資料やデータを読み、自ら問いを立て、調べ、考察する活動を通して、教育学的に考えるための基本的な方法を学ぶ。必要に応じて生成AIも活用し、情報を検証しながら自分の考えを深める。
