Through learning about national and local politics in Japan, students will acquire specialized knowledge of political science and at the same time acquire the ability to analyze the current situation and issues of Japan politics from multiple angles.
In this lecture, at first, the characteristics and differences between the parliamentary system and the presidential system, and then the structure of the Parliament and the Cabinet, focusing on the parliamentary system in Japan are explained. Next, the local system in Japan is taken up and the current situation and issues of local assembly under the dual representation system with examples are examined.

日本における国と地方の政治について学習することを通じて、政治学に関する専門知識を習得すると同時に、日本政治の現状と課題を多角的に分析する能力を身につけることを目標としています。

本講義では、まず、議院内閣制と大統領制の特徴、相違点等について説明したうえで、日本の議院内閣制に焦点を当てて、国会と内閣のしくみ等について解説します。次に、日本の地方制度を取り上げて、二元代表制の下での地方議会の現状と課題について、事例を交えて検証します。
