The purpose of this course is to use comparative political approaches to understand and conduct research on different political problems in Europe. The main topics in 2024 will be the new approaches to "empires".
In this class, participants will read the latest literature on European politics, society, and international relations, the reporter will present the contents, and each participant will prepare their own comments and engage in discussion. This year's theme will be the new approaches to "empires". The instructor will provide political science insights, and active comments from participants are expected. Participants are also welcome to contribute topics from regions and fields in their own areas of expertise.

ヨーロッパ政治の諸問題を比較政治学のアプローチを用いて理解し，さらに自らリサーチする能力を身につける。2026年度は新しい「帝国」研究を重点的トピックとする。
The purpose of this course is to use comparative political approaches to understand and conduct research on different political problems in Europe. The main topics in 2024 will be the new approaches to "empires".
ヨーロッパの政治・社会・国際関係に関する最新の文献を講読し、報告者が内容を報告し、参加者各々がコメントを用意して討議する。特に今年度は新しい「帝国」論をテーマに取り上げる。担当教員が政治学的な知見を提供するほか、参加者の積極的なコメントが期待される。参加者各自が専門とするヨーロッパ以外の地域・分野からの話題提供も歓迎する。
