【Course Objectives】

In this course, we aim to understand the relationship between conflicts in the modern world and colonialism, and acquire the perspective necessary to consider the challenges facing the international system in post-WW II.

【Course Contents】

There are many conflicts caused by imperialism and colonialism in the world, and they are still unresolved. The problems facing the system of international organizations, including the United Nations, which should deal with these problems and promote peacebuilding, have also become clear. This situation is not unrelated to Japan. In this course, we will take up considerable cases related to the liquidation of colonialism and consider issues for peacebuilding.
