【Course Objectives】

The purpose of the course is to understand basic history of peace studies, and the basic concept of multi-culturalism which has become a central topic in modern peace studies.

【Course Contents】

Students will study which issues were disputed in relation to peace and how they have evolved from the perspective of peace studies, and also learn about issues of exclusion that are averted for the sake of peace. In particular, we will consider whether it is right for the receiving country to determine acceptance of immigrants; whether death penalty be accepted; and what the responsibilities are towards former colonies and how long such responsibilities should last.
