The aim is to develop a broad perspective to understand the relationship between the present and future Japan and neighboring Asia and the world through a historical perspective.
Yoon Dong-ju is a leading Korean poet who has studied at Rikkyo University in 1942. In the class, focusing on the personal history of Yoon Dong-ju and his work, we will reconsider the overall history of Japan and the Korean Peninsula in the 20th century, and examine the relationship between the nation, ethnic groups and individuals in the world since the modern age, I will explain the factors that drive history in modern history and its meaning today.

歴史を複眼的に考察することを通して、現在とこれからの日本と近隣アジア地域ならびに世界との関係を理解するための広い視座を養うことを目指します。
The aim is to develop a broad perspective to understand the relationship between the present and future Japan and neighboring Asia and the world through a historical perspective.
尹東柱(ユン・ドンジュ)は1942年に立教大学への留学経験もある韓国を代表する詩人です。授業では尹東柱をめぐる人物史と彼の作品を軸に、20世紀における日本と朝鮮半島の歴史全般について再考察しながら、近代以降の世界における国家・民族と個人との関係、東アジアの近現代史における歴史を動かす要因とその今日的意味について読み解いてゆきます。
Yoon Dong-ju is a leading Korean poet who has studied at Rikkyo University in 1942.
