Picking up themes from Chinese politics, economy, society, and diplomacy, the course aims to acquire basic knowledge about Chinese socio-economic system, and gain deeper understanding on various issues that China is facing now.
The course will provide detailed explanation on the diversity of China as a multi-ethnic state, features of its political system, and mechanism of economic development. It will also cover various issues that China is facing now. The issues include income disparities, environmental destruction, human rights suppression, and trade frictions to enable understanding on the reality of China and its relationship with the world.

中国の政治，経済，社会，外交の４つの分野のテーマを取り上げ、中国の社会経済システムの基礎的知識を習得するとともに、現在中国が抱える諸問題について理解を深めることを目標とする。
Picking up themes from Chinese politics, economy, society, and diplomacy, the course aims to acquire basic knowledge about Chinese socio-economic system, and gain deeper understanding on various issues that China is facing now.
本講義では、多民族国家である中国の多様性、政治制度の特徴、産業や経済発展のメカニズムなどについて詳しく解説するとともに、貧富格差、環境破壊、人権抑圧、米中対立の長期化など中国が直面している様々な課題を取り上げ、アジアの中の中国実像、および中国と世界との関わりについて理解できるようにする。
