【Course Objectives】

The course aims to familiarize students with the latest research findings on contemporary Japanese politics and to provide them with a fundamental understanding of political processes.

【Course Contents】

Each session will focus on two recent articles published in domestic and international political science journals. While the course will primarily cover articles related to contemporary Japanese politics, the selection of literature will be tailored to the interests of the students. Students are expected to read the assigned articles prior to each session and prepare a one-page summary of their readings. These summaries should be shared with the instructor and other students via Canvas LMS. Additionally, students are encouraged to review the summaries prepared by their peers to facilitate active participation in class discussions.
